FALL IS FOR FAMILIES AT THE MICHIGAN THEATER

Families will find lots of action at the Michigan Theater this fall and winter with two series of kid-friendly events, one live, one on film.  Both series are sponsored by Toyota.

  The Not Just for Kids live performance series begins October 19 with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and runs through April 2009. Series subscriptions may include four or five performances.  Premium series tickets include three family performances by the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra.

  The Toyota Family Friendly Film Series launches on October 12 with Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were Rabbit and continues through May 2009.  What makes it so family friendly?  Kids 12 and under are admitted free!

Sunday, October 19, 1:30 pm - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - An enchanting musical based on C.S. Lewis' adventure story
Sunday, November 16, 1:30 pm - If You Give a Pig a Pancake - Mini-musicals based on popular kids’ books including Diary of a Worm, Horace & Morris but Mostly Dolores and other favorites
Saturday, December 13, 1:30 pm - Beatrix Potter's The Tailor of Gloucester - What a treat it is to discover a holiday classic by Beatrix Potter
Sunday, February 15, 2009, 1:30 pm - James and the Giant Peach ­ A magical production based on Roald Dahl's beloved book
Sunday, April 26, 2009, 1:30 pm - Thumbelina - This beloved fairytale comes to life in a joyous musical adaptation

  Series tickets are on sale now through Oct. 16 by mail, phone or fax only.  Prices range from $39 to $79, depending on the package chosen.  Please visit the Michigan Theater web site for more information.
