"SING-A-LONG ANNIE” Coming to the Michigan Theater

Ann Arbor, Mich. -- “Sing-A-Long Annie,” now an interactive movie experience combining audience participation with the beloved Disney classic, comes to the Michigan Theater for two shows only, Sunday, September 13 at 1:30 pm and Friday, September 18 at 7:00 pm.

For this special engagement, the classic 1982 film has been customized with on-screen lyrics so that audiences can join in the fun by singing along with some of the most beloved songs in motion picture history. “Sing-A-Long Annie” allows audiences to celebrate the golden age of movies by enjoying this Oscar®-nominated film in the fashion in which it was meant to be seen – in a grand theatrical setting – fully restored with a state of the art sound system.

"Sing-A-LongAnnie” invites audiences of all ages to step back in time with Daddy Warbucks, Miss Hannigan and rest of the gang. A movie host will introduce the film and lead the crowd through audience participation. Every audience member will receive a free goodie bag including special gifts that will enhance their enjoyment of the movie.

To complete the “Sing-A-Long Annie” experience, audience members are encouraged to dress as their favorite Annie character – or in a costume inspired by the movie. The Movie Host will invite everyone in costume to march on stage in the costume parade.

Annie” premiered in June 1982 and it earned two Academy Award nominations (including Best Musical Score) and three Golden Globe nominations. It starred Albert Finney and Carol Burnett in addition to Aileen Quinn as Annie.

Tickets are $10 for adults; $8.00 for children, students and seniors, and $7.50 for Michigan Theater members. Tickets are on sale now at ticketweb.com.
